The location of the lodge is great, just a block away from the main street but still close to shops and restaurants. the apartment is spacious and well-equipped with a kitchen and all the basics. the bed is comfortable and the shower is amazing, with warm water and a powerful spray that feels like a massage. the breakfasts are simple but satisfying, cooked to order. A big bonus is the pool, especially on hot days.

The room at St. Lucia Safari Lodge was perfect for me! I loved the cozy twin beds, the chilly air-conditioning, and the handy bar fridge. The TV had limited channels, but it was enough for me to unwind after a day of adventures. The showers were refreshing, and the bath towels and linen provided were a nice touch. Oh, and the coffee making facilities were a lifesaver to kickstart each morning!
Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the baths offered in the en-suite bathrooms. They weren't really my thing, but I know others might still enjoy them.

The hotel's decor was charming and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior guests, with comfortable seating and plenty of space to relax and socialize. It was delightful to see the thoughtful touches throughout the hotel that catered to the needs of older individuals, such as well-lit hallways and handrails in the corridors. These small details made me feel safe and at ease during my stay.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for seniors, it would be to have more staff available to assist with luggage and other tasks. While the children working there were friendly and helpful, there were moments when it would have been nice to have additional support, especially when carrying heavy bags or navigating the property.

St Lucia Safari Lodge offers a wide range of activities that cater to everyone in the family. From thrilling whale watching and game drives to educational visits to schools and churches, there is something for everyone, including adrenaline junkies and children. The staff at the lodge were professional and provided us with an activity list that made it easy to explore the area. We particularly enjoyed the pool and braai area, where we had memorable family moments.
For families with children, it would be great if the lodge had a kids' club or organized children's activities to keep them entertained.

As a self-catering guest, we were pleasantly surprised to find our apartment cleaned and towels replaced every day at this beachfront hotel. The size of the apartment was incredible, with all the facilities we needed. The pool was amazing, and the outside braai area was a great addition. The location is ideal, just a block away from foot traffic but still on the main street, with fast and easy access to restaurants and the beach. We couldn't have asked for a better place in Durban.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The rooms at St. Lucia Safari Lodge are so comfy and cozy, with twin beds and air-conditioning for a good night's sleep. The TV with limited DSTV channels is a nice touch for some entertainment. Plus, the coffee making facilities are perfect for my morning pick-me-up!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the showers at St Lucia Safari Lodge. But hey, that's just my opinion.

It was conveniently located within walking distance to all the shops, making it easy for us to take late afternoon walks and explore the area. the swimming pool was also very close to our place, adding to the relaxation factor of our stay. Despite its central location, we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't noisy at all. The overall experience was fantastic, and we would definitely book here again. Cons: Everything was fantastic! 😊.

The pool and pool area was nice, providing a refreshing space to relax and cool off. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the lodge was good, providing a variety of options to choose from. The friendly staff at the reception and during breakfast made the experience more enjoyable.
No privacy was a major issue during my stay. The lack of a sliding door in the room made it difficult for dressing or changing in front of my kids.
